The Forestry Commission runs forestry in the UK. Not only does it run the "state forest" through the Forest Enterprise, it also oversees all the administrative aspects that get handed onto it by government (i.e. grants, plant health legislation, promotional aspects etc). However they are very much involved in the promotion of Forestry in Scotland in all its facets. The web site is a little brochure like, but contains a good number of links to other forestry sites throughout the world. This includes one to Icelandic forestry which we were surprised even existed. There are the usual links with the Canadian and USA outfits as well.
